We are now four months from PLAY 2016, and looking forward to hosting 500 of the industry’s professionals who drive video success every day. In many cases, Brightcove’s technology partners are a key part of that success by extending the power of Video Cloud. This week, we’re talking with IRIS.TV - one of our long-standing partners - who will be at PLAY to showcase their solution.

IRIS.TV helps video publishers and networks increase consumption by turning their web and mobile video platforms into a personalized playback experience for every viewer. Their core product, Adaptive Stream™, delivers relevant content in an interactive television-like experience with content that is personalized to each viewer’s taste. As a result, video publishers and content owners are able to increase video consumption, engagement, and retention. I spoke with Rohan Castelino, Director of Business Development for his perspective.

[Britta] How does IRIS.TV help video publishers and marketers?

[Rohan] IRIS.TV is a personalized video programming system for publishers and content owners looking to increase video views, engagement, and user retention on their owned and operated sites and apps. Our personalization engine, Adaptive Stream™, integrates directly with the Brightcove Player and streams the content that is most relevant to the tastes and preferences of each individual user. For publishers, this personalization means more ads served and increased subscriber yield; for marketers, it means higher conversions and increased customer lifetime value.

[B] What can you tell us about sponsoring PLAY?

[R] This will be our second year sponsoring PLAY. While our technology is player and platform agnostic, we have really enjoyed working with Brightcove as a technology partner. We enjoy PLAY because it gives us the opportunity to meet with some of the global leaders in media and marketing and discuss the challenges they face.

[B] Can you describe what PLAY is like in three words?

[B] What can people expect when they visit your booth?

[R] You’ll be able to see IRIS.TV’s product suite in action. Attendees will not only get a chance to see interactive demos and live examples of Adaptive Stream™, our analytics dashboard IRIS VISION, and mobile SDK, but also a sneak peak into what we have coming soon.

[B] Any fun recommendations for what people could do while in Boston?

[R] There are so many places to experience culture, entertainment, and dining in a city with a rich history such as Boston that it's tough to pick. For cocktails, you can't go wrong with Backbar by Journeyman. Believe it or not, some of the best burritos I've ever had are at Boston’s own Anna's Taqueria. For culture, definitely check out the Rose Kennedy Greenway and if you are up for a drive, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is a must.
