NAB 2014 - We Came, We Saw, We’re Reporting Back

Brightcove recently wrapped up another successful week at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in Las Vegas. Our team mingled alongside nearly 100,000 attendees throughout the course of the week, and we’re excited to report back on what we saw and heard.

In the video below, we hear from two senior members of our Media team, Anil Jain and Albert Lai, on their thoughts what was abuzz at the show. Anil makes an important note that while no two broadcasters are exactly alike, they all face common challenges around device fragmentation, the introduction of new digital formats, and how they can monetize and deliver content to all the right places and audiences. Albert takes this one step further, noting that the focus for broadcasters should be about how content can be consumed on any screen, which means these organizations need to navigate a complex Web of content rights and have flexible technology solutions for delivering their content.

We also sat down with EVS, who highlighted their innovative technology for recording live events, as well as Akamai, who delivered an interesting talk on the necessary "links in the chain" for delivering high quality content.
