Stache-off: Movember Takes over Brightcove to Raise Money for Men’s Health

As part of this year's annual Movember effort, the men of Brightcove have been stepping up to the challenge by growing some questionable looking facial hair to help raise money and awareness for men’s health.

The last 30 days have been a race to grow the biggest, bushiest, most eccentric looking moustaches around the globe. Navigating disgruntled wives and girlfriends, dubious looks in public and small animals taking up temporary residency, the participants have come out on the other side with spectacular results. The finished objects include “The Trucker”, “The Rockstar”, “The Connoisseur” and the “The Undercover Brother”. To see these epic whiskers in their full glory check out our album on our Facebook page

Movember was started in November 2003 in Australia and the movement has expanded worldwide with over 854,000 participants taking part last year, raising over $126 million for organizations working on men’s health issues. Participants start out clean-shaven but vow to grow and cultivate their mustaches over the entire month of November with the support of their family and friends. Organizations that have received support from Movember funds in the past include the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong.
