We’re happy to announce that App Cloud was honored with a 2012 MobileTrax Mobility Award for best Application Development (Enterprise) in the Enterprise Mobility category during the CTIA conference this month in New Orleans. “Selected by 37 industry-leading press and analysts who cover the mobile and wireless market,” according to MobileTrax, “the Mobility Awards honor the best mobile computing and wireless communications products and services introduced to the market during the past year.”
App Cloud, Brightcove’s content app platform for building and operating engaging native apps for Apple iOS and Google Android smartphones and tablets, was chosen from among 450 products and services in 63 categories. It combines an open HTML5 Web development model with intelligent cloud services to accelerate app development, continuously optimize performance, measure effectiveness, and enable dynamic updates to installed apps.
App Cloud was also a finalist for a GSMA Global Mobile Award in the Best Cloud-Based Technology category, which were presented at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year.
