Case Study: Brightcove Helps SnackTV Diversify, Monetize Web Video Content

We recently published another great new case study, this time from the great country of Germany. Snack TV Media aggregates premium online video content from many different sources and distributes it to German-speaking audiences throughout the world. SnackTV brings the most interesting video content to a variety of partner websites for larger audiences to experience, and the company specializes in short-form content from a variety of licensors, including TV stations and independent production companies throughout Germany.

SnackTV licenses its content to third-party sites and generates revenue by placing pre-roll ads and splitting the proceeds with its more than 180 publishing partners. As the organization considered new ways to expand its reach among a target audience of more than 52 million (all Internet users in Germany), SnackTV looked to Brightcove -- its technology partner since it launched -- to streamline the distribution process and provide more value-added features to its partners. 

With Brightcove Video Cloud, SnackTV has a flexible, scalable and reliable video platform that has allowed its partners to take full advantage of video assets as a revenue-generating tool. SnackTV's partners are given the ability to personalize the Video Cloud player to make the content look and feel like part of their site and to align with their brand. Partners can also integrate content into their websites and stream videos seamlessly within a variety of different content management systems (CMS). 

Between February and March 2011, SnackTV's partners saw a 442% increase in the number of unique visitors to their sites, as customer audiences flocked to view video content using the Video Cloud embedded player and SnackTV's proprietary semantic video delivery technology.
