We are excited to announce today that Sue Thexton has joined Brightcove as senior vice president of sales for EMEA. Sue comes to us with more than 20 years of experience in the software and media industry, and will be focused on further developing and expanding our business across EMEA.
Prior to Brightcove, Sue was the vice president of EMEA at Datawatch Corporation, a report analytics product and services provider. She also served as managing director of ITN Source, a provider of professional video content through its online archive portal. Previously, Sue worked at Macromedia for ten years, first as general manager for Northern Europe and then as EMEA vice president.
Her new role follows the appointment of Robert Raiola to senior marketing director for EMEA in February 2011. Sue will be based on our European headquarters in London.
Brightcove first established a presence in Europe in 2007 with the launch of the UK office, and since then we have launched operations in France, Spain and Germany. Our customers in Europe include a broad range of media companies, marketers and associations, including the Financial Times, Turner Broadcasting Europe, Virgin Media, British Sky Broadcasting, The Football Association, BAFTA, SPOX, Sky Deutschland, Sky Italia, Le Figaro Group, L'Exress, Societe Generale, Audi France, Grupo Vocento, Conde Nast Digital Spain, and many others.
