On Tuesday, May 18th, Brightcove's technical channel director in EMEA, Cameron Church, will be participating in the Connected TV Summit, which is a one day event bringing together leaders from the broadcast industry, consumer electronics and advertising industries to debate the opportunity presented by Connected TV. The event will be held at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London.
Cameron's panel will kick off at 3:00 pm and will focus on how much Connected TV will really change the television business, including answering the question of is this the beginning of the end for broadcast networks and traditional television "platforms"? Other companies participating in the panel include Samsung Electronics, Orange Vallée, BBC and Digital TV Group.
We are also proud to be a sponsor of the Connected TV Summit, working in conjunction with our friends at Videonet. All of the video content featured on the event's website both leading up to, during and after the event will be powered by the Brightcove platform. The event will also be streamed live online, free of charge, with the option for viewers to ask questions from their desktop.
