Chateau Montelena Winery Launches Highly Interactive Video Experiences with Brightcove

Any self respecting wine buff is probably familiar with the story behind the great Chateau Montelena Winery in Napa Valley. If not, the movie "Bottle Shock" will certainly give you a good overview of this famous winery, as well as a few laughs.

More importantly, Chateau Montelena's newly redesigned website, www.montelena.com, provides an in-depth look at the history of the winery and its award-winning selection of wines. What is especially interesting about the new site is the level of interaction that it provides for visitors, including a host of high quality video experiences that are powered by the Brightcove platform.

According to Jeff Adams, marketing director at Chateau Montelena, one of the important goals of the new site was to build more of the winery's personality into the overall design and site experience. This includes incorporating innovative personal touches like the "winks" that can be found throughout the site (for example, see http://www.montelena.com/web/winery/winemaking and keep a close eye on the image on the right). The new site also features and in-depth interactive tour that allows site visitors to get the true winery experience from afar.

The winery took advantage of the breadth of features in the Brightcove Express edition to incorporate customized video experiences throughout the site. Brightcove's advanced social sharing capabilities also enable site visitors to share the winery's video content with friends, directly to Facebook and Twitter, or to embed the video into third party sites and blogs.

We are very proud to be a part of the exciting, unique website experience that the Chateau Montelena and its agency partner have built. This is another great example of the broad spectrum of organizations that are leveraging Brightcove Express to launch innovative video initiatives. We look forward to highlighting a variety of these customers on our blog in the coming months, but in the mean time do yourself (and your wine knowledge) a favor and visit the Chateau Montelana online!
