Vote for Brightcove for InformationWeek’s Startup 50

Brightcove is currently in the running for InformationWeek’s first ever “Startup 50,” a listing of the top innovative and disruptive technology startups focused on business and enterprise technology. InformationWeek is currently asking readers to vote on their favorites at http://informationweek.2009top50startups.sgizmo.com/.

Once the votes are in, InformationWeek’s editorial staff will make the final selections based on votes as well as their analysis of several criteria: innovation and the company’s ability to inject new ways of doing things into business processes; value, which is reflected in lower costs, increased sales, higher productivity, or improved customer loyalty; and enterprise-readiness, meaning that the product can be deployed and managed as necessary by IT pros. The final Startup 50 will be unveiled in April

While in the past online video was not something commonly associated with enterprise organizations, it has increasingly become central to communications across enterprise and B2B-focused organizations. More and more enterprise organizations are leveraging the Brightcove platform for initiatives ranging from training and support to corporate communications and marketing. Brightcove customers like Sun Microsystems and Serena Software are leveraging video to strengthen communications between employees and customers, engage thought leaders in the blogosphere and build a more social enterprise.

Please keep Brightcove in mind as you are voting for your favorites. We look forward to seeing the final list in April!
